Linn County Recent Bookings and Photo Policy

Oregon House Bill 3273 changed how booking photos are shared. As of January 1, 2022, the Linn County Sheriff is no longer allowed to publish booking photos online. This law applies to all jails in Oregon. You will not see mugshots on the Linn County recent bookings page anymore.

The recent bookings list still shows names, charges, and dates. You just won't see a photo next to each record. This was done to protect the privacy of people who have not yet been found guilty. The law was passed by the Oregon State Legislature and took effect at the start of 2022.

Note: Even though booking photos are not posted online, they may still be part of the arrest record. You can ask the sheriff for a photo through a public records request under ORS 192, but the office may deny the request based on the new law.
